He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard P. Dover and Lena Dover (Messerall); his sisters, Marie Depler and Dolores Fisher; and his son Terry Dover.
He is survived by: his wife Oletta Mae Dover; his former spouse O'Letta Humphrey; his brother Robert Dover; and his children, Teddy Dover and Barbara Dover-Dirlam. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
