We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2020 we had to say goodbye to James Hampton (Peabody, Kansas), born in Newton, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hampton and Gladys E. Manahan Hampton; his sister Nettie Lou Patton (Pat); his brother-in-law Charles Guinty; and his stepgrandson Greg Ingrahm.
He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine King Bartmess; his wife Jerri Hampton of Newton; his children, David R. Hampton (Frances) of Wichita, Dana Hampton of Topeka and Gayle Robinson (Robin) of Towanda; his sister Joyce Guinty of Arkansas City; and his stepchildren, Diana Johnson (Greg) of Derby, Pam Nellans (Jim) of Newton and David Bartmess (Pennie) of Newton. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
The casket will be open at the funeral home on Tuesday between 12:00 Noon and 8:00 P.M. A memorial has been established with Heart & Soul Hospice, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
