With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel May Smith (Peabody, Kansas), born in Limon, Colorado, who passed away on March 17, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Bessie Orva Overholser (Ester); her husband Albert M. Smith Jr.; her daughter Anna Maria Bahre; her father Chester Jerome Overholser; and her siblings, C. J. Overholser, Jr., Jerry Overholser and Dixie Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Marion Smith Jr. of Peabody and Mary Ellen Avery of Peabody; and her sister Crystal Schwab of Del City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
