It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duane Richard Davis Sr. (Peabody, Kansas), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Davis and Lucille Davis (Tapprich); his siblings, Brenda Kay Davis, Arlene White, Mayetta Warneke, Naomi Clopton, Betty Helton, Jim Davis, Charlie Davis and Art Davis; his grandson Elijah; his parents-in-law, Adena and Paul Kasper; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Keyser, Pat Brannon and Andy Helton.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Davis of Peabody; his children, Karen Larsen (Larry) of Peabody, Kim Sample (Darin) of Alta Vista, Terri Evans (Brad) of Brighton, MI, Duane R. Davis, Jr. (Kathleen) of Statesboro, GA and Travis Davis (Misti) of Holton; his grandchildren, Lucas, Kiefer (Alanis), Brianna (Triston), Tyson (Katie), Austin, Todd (Breanna), Katelyn (Christian), Rebekah, Lexi (Colton) and TJ; his great grandchildren, Kaydan, Nevaeh, Kamden, Adalynne, Logyn, Rhett, Holden, Carsyn and Ellie; his siblings, Wanda LeMay (Jerry) of Council Grove, Terry Davis (Karen) of Council Grove, Becky Chase (Brian) of Council Grove and Laverne Hawkins of Emporia; and his brother-in-law Jack Kasper (Martha) of Newton.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gracepoint Church (802 Vine St, Peabody, KS 66866).
