With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Kermit Deforest in Peabody, Kansas, who passed away on November 8, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeForest and Cleo DeForest (Marsh); and his siblings, Douglas, John "Jack", Richard and Sally.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Charles D. "Chuck" and Diane; his sisters, Cleo "Jean" Smith and Linda Long (Charlie); his children, Charles D. (Catherine), Beverly Buster (Greg) and Diane Nightengale (Brad); his grandchildren, Riley Buster (Kelli), Ashley Dickey (Doug), Lydia Buster (Jon Yedoni), Jessica Klausmeyer (Adam), David DeForest (Abigail), Roger Nightengale (Laurie), Laura Nightengale, Jaclyn DeForest and Casey Nightengale; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Wyatt, Hazel, Violet Dickey, Hudson, MaKinlee, Benton Klausmeyer, Haskell, Hattie, Oakley DeForest and Victoria Yedoni.
