He is survived by his wife Connie Jo (McVay) Burks, his sister Kathie Paules (David) of Ocala, Florida; his brother-in-law Ed Dutcher; his sons, Roger Jr. (Kellie) of Copenhagen, Denmark and Danny Joe of Parsons, Kansas; his grandson Asa Finn Burks of Copenhagen; his nieces and nephews, Diana Jo White, Donna Lee Szulski, Stephen Dutcher, Jeanetta Fuqua, Joey Dutcher, Tana Merrill, Ryan Larkin, Sean Larkin and Adam Reed.
