He is survived by: his daughter Emily Alba (Ben); his grandson Lincoln Alba of Chanute; his close friend Mary McLaughlin; his siblings, Henry Gatewood Charles (Martha) of Parsons, Emmett Gatewood of Parsons, James Gatewood (Peggy) of Parsons, Shawnell Reece (Michael) of Parsons, Maurice Gatewood (Kattie) of Wichita, Debbie Sanchez (Larry), Marva Lee Cullom of Olathe and Richard Gatewood (Brenda) of Raytown, MO.; and also, Timothy McLaughlin (Jennifer) of Parsons, Jespen and RayLeigh McLaughlin.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home - Parsons (112 N 26th St, Parsons, KS 67357). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM.
