Jean Daetwiler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Daetwiler (Parsons, Kansas), who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Rhonda Daetwiler Buckles (Doug Sr.), Deborah Daetwiler Depew (Debbie) and Kyla Daetwiler; her husband Maurice Hahlbeck; her former husband Alvin Lee Daetwiler, Jr.; her children, Side (While) and Philip Jonathan Daetwiler; her parents, Mabel Verena Lee Muhs and William Henry Muhs; her siblings, Berniece Clarke (Ralph), Shirley Ricker (George), Mary Reynolds, Audrey Larson (Delton) and Floyd W. (Rusty); her siblings-in-law, Gerry, Leroy Hodson, Anita, Howard Davis, Jackie Rood, Patricia, Lawrence Sager, Pat Daetwiler, Harry Nagel and Florence Muhs; her grandchildren, Rebeccah Buckles (Pablo Maya), Danielle Buckles Pippitt (Justin), Reagan Buckles (Shelby Eytcheson), Doug Buckles Jr. (Amanda), Philip Depew and Emily Depew; her great grandchild Landon Pippitt; her grandchildren, Nora Pippitt, HansLee Buckles and Eleanor Eytcheson; her siblings, Patricia Nagel and Bill Muhs; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Daetwiler and Cliff Rood.
Jean also served her communities, country, and others around the globe in volunteering to be a Poll worker during elections, delivering Meals On Wheels in the communities which offered them, helping prepare meals/snacks for Blood Donations, being an active member/officer/worker of FCE, Church Women United, World Day of Prayer, Federated Women's Clubs of America, Parsons AARP, and giving programs, playing games/having monthly birthday parties for the residents of the Parsons' Presbyterian Manor.
