He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joe Reed and Betty Louise Willis (Bennett); his wife Mary Ellen Linnebur; his children, Melissa Carson (Nathan) of Joplin, MO, Amy Powell (Jamie) of West Melbourne, FL, Meagan Swafford (James) of Pittsburg, KS and James Willis Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; and his parents-in-law, Al Linnebur of Parsons, KS and Nancy Linnebur. He was also cherished by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Parsons Middle School Fishing Club.
