Ilene M. Ritz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ilene M. Ritz of Parsons, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Georgina Claire Gottschalk (Schulte); her husband Norman; her siblings, John Wayne Gottschalk, Allen Gottschalk, Ronald Gottschalk, Merlin Gottschalk, Patricia Gottschalk and Phyllis Murphy; and her great grandchild Zachary Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Ouderkirk of Pittsburg, Kevin Ouderkirk (DeAnna) of Lenexa, Angela Young (John) of Evansville and Melinda Davis (Kirk) of Pittsburg; and her siblings, Earl Gottschalk of Schoenchen, Terry Gottschalk (Sandra) of Logan, Kathy Buhrle of Hays, Beatina Nowak of Hays and Clarita Baker (Lewis) of Strong City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home (405 Main St, Parsons, KS 67357). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (204 Church St, Hays, KS 67667).
Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
