He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert DeWitt and Wilma DeWitt (Powell); and his brother Gary Vernon DeWitt. He is survived by: his spouse Helen A Stover; his sister Marsha McEroy of State; and his cousin Guy Hopkins of Slidell, LA.
