He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Olson and Pearl Olson (Brooks); his daughter Nancy Olson of Parsons; his grandchildren, Ben Ryan (Beth) of Parsons, Aja Shroll (Dean) of Dallas, Michael Olson (Jessica) of Parsons and Kristen Talley of Parsons; his great grandchildren, Abby Ryan, Colton Ryan, Kaitlyn Ryan of Parsons, Jaycee Olson, Xzavier Olson of Parsons, Keiran Shroll and Ean Shroll of Dallas; his son Robert "Bob" Olson; and his sisters, Joan Mathis and Shirley McKinney. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
