She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Bolinger and Arlene Lenox; and her brother Troy Lenox. She is survived by: her husband Robert Shingler; her children, Mike Shingler (Crystal) and Stacie Bird (Wes); her grandchildren, Katelyn Shingler, Caden Bird, Kelsey Shingler, Keira Bird, Joseph Villa, James Johnson and Dylan Johnson; her great grandchildren, Karoline Taylor and Lillyana Johnson; and her brother Mike Bolinger (Pam). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established in honor of Karen at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
