It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randa Riesa Hopson-Echeverria (Paola, Kansas), who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Randa Riesa may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her father W. T. Everett; and her sisters, Paula Denise Hopson and Denise Moore. She is survived by: her mother Winona Katherine Hopson Lindsey; her siblings, William L. Adams (Olathe) and Chanda Mae Hopson-Byers (Olathe); and her stepfather Paul Edward Hopson (Oklahoma). She is also survived by sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
