He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Lee Windler and Joan Windler (Jamison); and his grandparents, Leon, Ida Windler, Marvin and Grace Jamison.
He is survived by: his brother David Windler (Grace) of Tonganoxie; his sons, Daniel Windler and Robert Windler; his sister Pamela "Windler" Thompson of Paola; his sons, Gerald Thompson and Stacy Thompson; his brother Fred Windler (Julie) of Osawatomie; and his children, Christopher Windler and Cassandra Windler.
