He was predeceased by: his sister Marsha Hytia Brown; his parent Emma Irene Smith; and his siblings, Axel and Alice. He is survived by: his wife Marian; his daughters, Tammy Arlene Graham (Charles "Mike") and Gina Kay Lisher (Craig); his stepchildren, Kent Smith (Jacqueline), Daniel Hughes and Chrystal Bryant; and his great grandchildren, Ainsley and Maya. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the large cat sanctuary, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Excelsior Springs, AR.
