He is survived by: his wife Leona (Block); his sister Sally Richardson of Humbolt, NE; his children, Doug Smith of Gardner, KS and Melaine Hamilton (Derek) of Olathe, KS; his stepdaughter Michella Jackson (Derek) of Manhattan, KS.; his grandchildren, Anna Rubey (Mike) of Beloit, KS, Madalyn Hamilton of Olathe, KS, Elise Jackson of Manhattan, KS and Evan Hamilton of Olathe, KS.; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Keegan Rubey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (401 E Piankishaw St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillsdale Cemetery.
