He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Walker Armstrong and Catherine Marie Carruthers Armstrong; his son Kevin Roy Armstrong; his granddaughter Lucy Mae Armstrong; his brothers, William (Bill) and Henry Armstrong (Hank); his parents-in-law, Roy and Eleanor McKaig; and his brother-in-law Dennis McKaig.
He is survived by: his wife Paula McKaig; his sons, Chad Armstrong (Julie) of Andover and Kyle Armstrong (Erica) of Olathe, Kan.; his grandchildren, Logan, Meghan of Andover, Iris and Ruby of Olathe; his sister Betty Ann Armstrong of Paola; and his siblings-in-law, Doug McKaig (Susan), Darrel McKaig (Laura), Shannon Armstrong, Patty Armstrong and Alice McKaig. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Paola Lighthouse Church (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paola USD 368 Endowment Association to support students seeking education in skilled trades.
