He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin York and Audrey York (Garringer); his sister Juanita Hevalow; his grandson Joseph Shell; and his son-in-law Mark Swift.
He is survived by: his son Doug Brenda (Claudia) of Republic, MO; his wife Judith; his children, Anne Williams (Danny) of Belton, MO, Brenda York-Keegan of Paola, Debra Hicks of Gardner, Gregory York (Jennifer) of Wichita Falls, TX, Jacquelyn Swift of Kansas City, MO and Carrie Loar (Paul) of Paola; and his siblings, Bill York (Nancy), Rosie Bernard, Wes York (Rae), Sandy Griffith (Mel), Kenny York, Ed York (Stephanie), Carol Sinku and Rod York. He is also survived by 77 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Charles York Memorial Fund at First Option Bank.
