He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Isabelle Watkins Reed and Arthur Earl Reed; his former wife Joyce Mohler; his wife Naoma Sawyer-Reed; his daughter Rhonda Warren; and his brothers, Gene Reed, Bob Reed and Jimmy Weaver.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Burdett (Jim), Sue Hons and Wayne Weaver (Betsy); his children, Rex Reed (Cathy) of Papillion, NE, Richard Reed (Liz) of Kalispell, MT, Regina Moore of El Dorado, KS and Rebecca Scroggins (Mark) of Canyon, TX; and his stepchildren, Christopher Sawyer of Udall, KS, Bo Sawyer (Gail) of Winfield, KS and Buffy Sawyer of Yakima, WA. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
