He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Townsend. He is survived by: his mother Estelline Townsend; his siblings, Rick Townsend (Elaine) of Derby, Scott Townsend of Caldwell, Wanda Ingram of Belle Plaine, Ginger LeCounte (Kevin) of Caldwell and Teresa McClendon (Rex) of Cunningham, KS.; and his son Matthew. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made to Rivercross Hospice and sent in care of the mortuary.
