She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles S. Shaffer and Opal Julia Shaffer (Stebbins). She is survived by: her husband Gene; her children, Bruce Swanson (Lisa) of Tucson, Becky Venema (Todd) of Oakwood and Mark Swanson (D'ette) of Overland Park; her grandchildren, Riley, Karina Swanson, Sofia, Peter, Molly, Micah Venema, Teegan, Caden and Brenden Swanson; and her sister Amy Putnam (Glenn) of Las Cruces.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Old Mission United Methodist Church (5519 State Park Rd, Fairway, KS 66205). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Swedish Cemetery.
