He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bender and Alice Bender (Savage); and his brother Larry Bender. He is survived by: his sister Jane Sherbert (Bender) of Clay Center, Kansas; his children, Chad Bender (Tina) of Olathe, Kansas and Candice Klinge (Bender); his granddaughter Tess Klinge of Overland Park, Kansas; his son Travis Bender of Manhattan, Kansas; his nephew Phil Kasper of Clay Center; and his niece Angela Sullivan (Kasper) of Leawood, Kansas..
The military honors will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center (501 Franklin St, Clay Center, KS 67432).
