She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Brown and Ruby Brown (Petch); and her brother Ronald Brown. She is survived by: her husband Douglas; her sons, Jonathan Carruthers (Stephanie) and Michael Carruthers; her granddaughter Caroline Carruthers; her sister Carol Dunfield (Laurie); and her nephew Sheldon Brown.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel (11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens (23215 W 75th St, Shawnee, KS 66227).
