He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Nanninga and Delmer Nanninga; his granddaughter Tara Marie Randel; and his niece Cynthia "Cindy" Joy Reed. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann (Becky); his daughter Holly Nanninga; and his grandchildren, Debbie Doherty, Sheri Randel, Charles Nanninga, Brent Randel (Brandi), Dustin Doherty (Kara) and Paige Leach (Sam). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, and all his "favorite" in-laws, along with nephews, niece, cousins and many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery (9501 159th St, Overland Park, KS 66221).
In remembrance of Merle's life and love, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
