With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melanie Sue Schattauer (Overland Park, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Melanie Sue may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melanie Sue touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Johnson Jr. and Patricia Johnson (Drake) of Luke's Hospital; and her brothers, Greg and Scott. She is survived by: her husband Fred Schattauer of Olathe; her daughter Alison Lock (Jeremy); and her grandsons, Joseph and James Lock of Overland Park, Kansas..
