With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marilyn Sechi (Overland Park, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marilyn left this world on December 6, 2024 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Collings and Mildred Collings (Booth); her daughter Deidre; and her brother Ralph Collings. She is survived by: her husband Marvin; her son Derek; her sisters, Margie Hall and Julie Hunt (Neil); and her daughter Marilyn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Church of the Ascension (9510 W 127th St, Overland Park, KS 66213). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Ascension (9510 W 127th St, Overland Park, KS 66213).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

“Marilyn was the most religious person I’ve ever known. She had the most beautiful connection to God, always trusting in His plan. Together we started a summer singing program for toddlers-1st graders at Ascension and she was the most awesome person with whom to partner. In the 30 years I knew her, I never heard her say a negative thing about anyone. I think her favorite saying was, “God is Good.” She’s an inspiration to me and I’ll always think of her as Saint Marilyn. —Carol Dengel Elder”
