With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lucy Soptic of Overland Park, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lucy left this world on January 22, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Billings and Ethel Billings; her sisters, Edna Mae and Rose Marie; her husband George J. Soptic (Tony); her great grandchild Emiley Anne; and her daughter-in-law Denise Soptic.
She is survived by: her friend Jo Ann; and her sons, John Soptic (Terri) of Lenexa, Kansas, Jim Soptic and Greg Soptic (Sarah) of Strawberry Hill. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alden Harrington Funeral Home (214 Oak St, Bonner Springs, KS 66012). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Bonner Beautiful Commission, in care of the funeral home.
