He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmore Barber and Ruth Barber; his wife Rebecca Mae; and his brothers, Herbert and Wayne.

He is survived by: his brother Mark; his children, Barry (Bridgette), Robin and Rebecca Ann; and his grandchildren, Barry Jr. (Natalie), Marcus (Tameka), Tai and Rebecca Helen.
