He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Weiss Hester; and his siblings, Harold Hester, Lawrence Hester, Frances Wilcox and Lois Cooper.

He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Jr., Marilyn, Charles and Janet.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to: Missional Meals Overland Park Church of Christ 13400 W. 119th Street Overland Park, KS 66213 This ministry provides lunches for children at local schools who are underprivileged.
