He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cunningham and Teresa Cunningham; his son Joshua Shad Cunningham; his brother Matthew Cunningham; and his father-in-law Bryan Commans.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his son Dr. Alexander Cunningham (Sarah); his grandson John; his daughter Elizabeth Kudart (Matthew Kudart) of Leawood, KS.; his mother-in-law Cloe Anne Commans of Overland Park, KS.; his siblings-in-law, Bryson Commans of Lenexa, KS., Scott Commans of Lenexa, KS. and Marcia Cunningham of Brookfield, MO; and his siblings, Terry Cunningham of Brookfield, MO, Michael Cunningham (Cyrie) of Kansas City, MO, Kevin Cunningham of Pella Iowa and Kelly Luse (Dave Luse) of Spokane, WA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Little Brothers and Sisters of the Lamb, 36 South Boeke St., Kansas City, KS. 66101.
