He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Wilcox (Hubbard); his parents, Roy, Sr. Wilcox and Mary Wilcox (Klein); and also Roy Wilcox, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Simpson (Rick) of Baltimore, MD, Joe Wilcox (Lisa) of Olathe, KS and Jeff Wilcox (Allison) of Overland Park, KS; his sisters, Elaine Heck and Joyce Dehaemers; his grandchildren, Tyler Simpson (Anna), Deanna Benavides (Antony), Katherine Wilcox, Emily Wilcox, Hannah Wilcox, Hunter Wilcox and Timothy Wood; and his great grandchildren, Ewan Simpson, Henry Simpson and Kaia Benavides.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
