He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery C. McKimmy and Coralie Mae Johnson McKimmy; his former wife Norma McKimmy of Overland Park, Kansas; and his siblings, Elizabeth McKimmy and Steve McKimmy.
He is survived by: his wife Jean McKimmy; his sons, Douglas Patrick McKimmy and Steven James McKimmy; and his stepchildren, Deborah "Sam" Baez (Rick Baez) and Jacob Lamb (Elizabeth). He is also survived by friends and the 40 & 8, plus all his Brothers and Sisters.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
