With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carol J. Morgan of Overland Park, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel Blaine Landes (Dutch) and Edna Hamlet; her son Kevin James Bentele; her siblings, Aletha Kay Bentele (Landes) and Russel B. Landes; her half-sister Shannon Vanata (Pitts); and her granddaughter Caitlin Morgan.
She is survived by: her former husband Norbert Bentele; her spouse Jackie Lynn Morgan (Jack); her close friend James L. Basgall of Merriam, KS; her great grandchildren, Carol and Jim; her sister Cynthia Clark (Pitts); her children, Robert Vincent Bentele (Kathleen Morast) of Overland Park, KS, Karen Ann Bentele (Brian Rothermel) of Machesney Park, IL, Kelly William Bentele of Machesney Park, IL and Albert Blane Morgan of Kansas City, KS; and her grandchildren, Jackie Lynn Morgan, Jr. (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV., Bobby Bentele (Jesi), Ryan Bentele (Jessica), Heather Prunty, Jessica Bentele Staten (Geoff), Nick Flack, Addison Morgan (Jeff) and Shelby Morgan (Nick Efurd).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Homes (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111).
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Kansas City, MO Art Institute or the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, Kansas City, MO.
