He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Eugene and Stella Randel (Goebel); and his brothers, Larry and Kenneth Randel. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Greaves; and his children, Carrie Waddell, Terry Radcliffe and Rick Randel. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
