She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymond Buffington and Helen Buffington (Purkeypile); her sons, Joshua VanBuskirk and Bradley Spain; and her siblings, Patsy Sanders, Priscilla Weatherbee and Phillip Buffington.
She is survived by: her husband William Spain; her daughters, Kathy Spain of Wichita and Kristy Turner (Steve) of Raymore; her siblings, Phyllis Howard of Arkansas City and Paul Buffington of Medford; and her grandchildren, Chad Spain of Wichita, Sarah Yates of Blue Springs and Alison Casset of Aurora. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
