She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Lee Elder; her daughter Mary Lou Williams; her parents, Floyd McElroy and Eunice McElroy; her brother Wayne McElroy; and her grandson Joseph Michael House.

She is survived by: her daughter Lea Ann Elder Webb (Jim); her son-in-law Joe Williams; her grandchildren, Beth Williams House (Mike), Scottie Williams English and Holder Nevins (Kendra); her stepgrandchildren, Joe Webb (Laura) and Robin Webb Sweeney (Gerald); and her great grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth House, Harper, Morgan, Emerson and Porter Nevins.
