He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wright; his sister Sophie Hill; his children, Linda Taylor (John) of Kansas City, Leonard D. Rowles (Judy) of Independence, Sherri Lucas (Bob) of St. Louis, Barbara Brown of Georgia, Debrorah Hansen (Michael) of Kansas City and David Rowles (Lori) of Ottawa; his brother George Rowles of Kansas City, Missouri; and his friend Larry Mack (Claudia). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren many nieces and nephews.
