It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanny Max Slifer of Ottawa, Kansas, born in Strong City, Kansas, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Slifer and Sadie Slifer (Persym); his siblings, Larry Slifer, Henry Moore, Pat Hibner and Agnes Harrison; and his daughter Amy Slifer.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Osha Spradley; his children, John Slifer (Debbie) of Oskaloosa, Paul Slifer (Jayne) of Centropolis, David Slifer of Lawrence, Elizabeth Slifer of Texas and Stacey Powell (Victor) of Springfield, Missouri; and his brother Gary Slifer of Ottawa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
