JoEllen Hall Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoEllen Hall (Ottawa, Kansas), who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid JoEllen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For JoEllen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Joe" W. Ferns and Viola "Vi" Ruth Ferns (Wemmer); her brother Louis E. Ferns; and her grandchildren, Alexis Jo Woolsoncroft and John Louis Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Hailey Jo Smith (John) of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Jacklyn Brock (Matt), Chris Freeman (Kylee), Chelsey Freeman, Tiffany Timmons (Ty), Matthew Woolsoncroft and Isabell Woolsoncroft; and her sister Bonnie Ferns. She is also survived by nephew, several nieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory (235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067).
