It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Poe of Ottawa, Kansas, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Poe to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Poe and Cecil Poe (Tabor); his siblings, Thomas Poe, Richard Poe, Billy Poe, Jack Poe, Mary Ann Roecker, Louise Waters-Lee, Betty Whitsitt, Juanita Schlief-Hoskins and Carol Lee Lykins; and his son-in-law Robert L. "Bob" Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife Merrita Poe; his children, Nancy J. Lillie Barger (Mike) of Linn Valley, KS, James R. Poe (Diana) of Greeley, KS, Dale E. Poe (Janea) and Anita R. Poe Wiley; and his sister Olive Bickerstaff. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
