He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Johannes; his parents, John Christian, Sr. and Ada Ruth Christian; his siblings, John Christian, Jr., Roberta Paine and Mildred Williamson; and his son-in-law Darrell Bourque.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Christian (Jennifer) of Manhattan, Kansas, Elisa Christian of Overland Park and Nancy Bourque (Shaun Kelly) of Ottawa, Kansas.; and his grandchildren, James Christian (Stacy) of Springfield, Missouri, Angela Christian of Florida, Rachel Christian of Alabama, Charlie Waymire of Panorama City, California, Jen Crowley (Bill) of Ottawa, Kansas, Kristian Olsen of Overland Park, William Maxwell (Kristi) of California and Chelsey Maxwell of California. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Ottawa (203 E 4th St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
