He is survived by: his wife Betty Ledom; his children, Deann Farrell (James Moore) of Ottawa, Cheri Bishop (Larry) of Ottawa and Chad Payne (Tammy) of Ottawa; his siblings, Delores Meiers of Ottawa, Rosemary Upton (Don) of St. Joseph, Bill Payne of Neosho and George Payne (Lois) of Moran, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jeff Gragg (Bethany) of Ottawa, Ashley Gillaspie (Nathan) of Ottawa, Justin Farrell of Pomona, Brandi Virtue (Scotty) of Lawrence, Kevin Farrell (Jacha) of San Diego and Melani Gragg of Ottawa; and his great grandchildren, Avery Gillaspie, Sevanna Gillaspie, Daelynn Virtue, Julia Gillaspie, Liam Virtue, Michael Farrell and Joshua Farrell.
