We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2021, at the age of 96, Dorothy M. Didde of Ottawa, Kansas, born in Olpe, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Diebolt and Mary J. Diebolt (Wendling); her husband Bernard Didde; and her siblings, George Diebolt, Jerome Diebolt, Helen Briggs, Mary and Joseph Diebolt.

She is survived by: her children, Gerald Didde (Donna) of Ottawa, Mary Esteban (Ernest) of Scottsdale, Anita Nolan (Michael) of DeSoto, Barbara Roberson of Atchison and Michael Didde (Debra) of Paola, Kansas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Sacred Heart School c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.

“I am sorry to learn of the death of your Mother. No matter what the age, a mother is still missed. I especially am sad that the restrictions that were placed on visitations to the care facility kept the family from being able to spend time with her during this last year. Dorothy and Bernard were my Godparents and I always felt that we had a special connection. When I was little they would give me gifts at Christmas. I still display the miniature china tea set that they gave me.”
