He was predeceased by: his parents, James Addis and Edythe Addis; his daughter Stacey Clark; and his siblings, Verl, Virgil, Jesse, Roger Addis, Irene Peters, Emma Jean Collins and Ailene Ruttgen.
He is survived by: his wife Freida "Darlene" Addis; his children, James R. Addis (Barbara) of Oswego and Kathryn George (Darrell) of Oswego; his sisters, Peggy Stapleton of Oswego and Phyllis Stapleton of Oswego; and his grandchildren, Jimmy George, Jason George, Trevor Addis and Alyson Heflin. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
