He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie McDowell and Lena McDowell (Gaston); his former spouse Georgeann Records; his son Clay McDowell; and his siblings, Donald, Norman, Wanda and Patsy.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Kay Stewart; his son Eric McDowell (Delia) of Springfield, MO; and his stepdaughters, Kimberly Kinley (Casey) of Cleveland, OK and Debbie Stewart of Clinton, WA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oswego Christian Church.
