He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles T Lawson and Florence Lawson (Bush); his grandson Keles Brice; his in-laws, Ralph "Bud" and Mildred Stice; and his siblings, Patsy Holtz, Peggy Miller, Judy Robbins and Charles "Chuck" Lawson.
He is survived by: his spouse Alexis Lawson (Stice); his children, Heidi (Lawson), Gilbert (Tim) of Chetopa, KS and Kyle Lawson of Oswego, KS.; his grandchildren, Allison (Gilbert) Blades (Zachary) of Baxter Springs Ks, Katelin (Gilbert) Meredith (Bradley) of Chetopa KS, Benjerman Gilbert (Deonna) of Columbus, KS., Trevor Davis, McKenna Webster and Alec Lawson of Oswego KS; his great grandchildren, Kailer Meredith, Karter Blades, Olivia Meredith and Logan Meredith; and his siblings, Sharon Gero (George "Sonny"), Lynn Brown (Robert), Tina Johnson (Randy) and Holly Nave (Jim).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Oswego (203 Illinois St, Oswego, KS 67356). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oswego Cemetery (13500 Rd, Oswego, KS 67356).
