He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Alonzo and Bessie Gibson (Boyd); and his siblings, Hoot Gibson, Vearl Gibson, Johnny Gibson, Kenneth Gibson, Ruth Goins, Katie Vincent and Mary Bell.
He is survived by: his children, Chawn Gibson (Whitney) of Carterville and Christy Lewellen (Roland) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Brenda Lewellen, Cohl Gibson, Cadin Gibson and Conner Gibson; his great grandchildren, Alex Lewellen and Adrian Lewellen; and his brothers, Bob Gibson of Adair, Oklahoma, Charlie Gibson of Afton, Oklahoma, Leroy Gibson of Narcissa, Oklahoma, Chigger Gibson of Afton, Oklahoma and Carl Gibson of Cherokee, Oklahoma..
