She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Jay and Josephine Moerer Wilhite of Virginia; her spouse Glenn Elvin Powell, Sr.; her grandchildren, John Lewis and Ruby Caldwell; and her brothers, Orvin L. Wilhite and Robert "Bob" Wilhite.
She is survived by: her children, Kirk Lewis (Janice) of Nacogdoches, TX, Glenn E. Powell, Jr. (Nancy), Maxine Ragsdale-Hayes (Charles), Virginia M. Pemberton of Independence, MO and Barbara J. Farmer. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
