He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Orbin and Juanita Young Hamm; his wife Marilyn Sue Adams; his children, John Hamm (Patty), Mike Paavola, Cheryl Ann Paavola of Denver, CO. and Pamela Paavola; and his siblings, Brenda Latham of Tonganoxie, KS., Jean Jewell of Tonganoxie, KS., Ann Davis of Georgia, Joe Hamm, Carol Head and Lou Srpan.
